The petitioner seeks the quashing of the election of private- respondent No.6 Sant Singh as Chairman of the Sadhan Sahkari Samiti Limited, Manauna, Block Karhal, District Mainpuri.
Though number of submissions have been advanced by Sri Sujit Kumar Rai, learned counsel for the petitioner for setting aside the election but Sri Narendra Kumar Giri, learned counsel appearing for the U.P. State Cooperative Societies Election Commission has stated that the petitioner has a statutory alternative remedy of filing an election petition under Rule 50 (1) of U.P. State Co-operative Societies Election Rules, 2014, The petitioner does have a statutory alternative remedy. The Court, therefore, declines to entertain this petition.
This writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
