This habeas corpus petition seeks quashing of the detention order dated 27th July, 2018 passed by the District Magistrate, Buduan under Section 3 (2) read with Section 3 (3) of the National Security Act, 1980 (for short "NSA, Act").
As the maximum period of detention permissible under the provision of NSA Act is one year, which has already expired, this petition has been rendered infructuous and, therefore, no one has appeared to press the petition.
Consequently, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
Mr. Deepak Mishra, learned A.G.A. and Mr. Jai Shanker Audichya are present for the respondents.
