Public Prosecutor COMMON ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed to modify the condition in Crl.M.P.No.4688 of 2016 dated 9.12.2016 in connection with Crime No.673 of 2016 imposed by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvallur.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he filed a petition in Crl.M.P.No.4688 of 2016 before the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvallur, seeking bail and the learned Judge, by order dated 9.12.2016, has granted bail to the petitioner on certain conditions. One of the conditions is that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., until further orders. Since the petitioner is a mentally retarded person, he has to take continuous treatment and hence, he could not comply with the said condition. Hence, seeking modification of the said condition, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor has no objection to modify the said condition.
4. In view of the same, the condition imposed on the petitioner in Crl.M.P.No.4688 of 2016 dated 9.12.2016 by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Tiruvallur, viz., “the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m., until further orders” is hereby modified as follows:-
“ The petitioner shall report before the respondent police on every Monday at 10.30 a.m., until further orders.”
The other conditions shall remain unaltered. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
