Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS, to call for the records relating to the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent pertaining to the order made in BCDFGISSSV No.27/2017 dated 13.04.2017 in detaining the detenu under Section 2[f] of Tamil Nadu Act 14/1982, as a goonda and quash the same and direct the respondent to produce the detenu Muthu, aged 21 years, S/o.Velayudham, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.A.K.Somasundaram For Respondents : Mr.V.M.R.Rajentran, Additional Public Prosecutor O R D E R [Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to call for the records relating to the detention order passed in BCDFGISSSV No.27/2017 dated 13.04.2017 by the Detaining Authority against the detenue by name, Muthu, aged 21 years, S/o.Velayudham, residing at No.304, First Street, J.J.Nagar, Alathur Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and quash the same.
2. It is represented on the side of the respondents that the Detention Order in question has already been revoked, by virtue of G.O.Rt.No.2519 dated 29.05.2017 and a copy of the same is submitted, wherein, it is clearly stated that the Detention Order in question has been revoked.
3. Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the relief sought in the petition has become infructuous.
4. In fine, this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
