In light of reply given by the respondent authority vide communication dated 23.7.2008, learned advocate for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would like to take opportunity to approach the respondent authority by way of detailed representation. Learned advocate for the petitioner also made reference of the information made available to the petitioner under the application made by the petitioner by invoking provisions of Right to Information Act. Learned advocate for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner received reply which gives out that certain other persons have been given employment on compassionate ground without taking into account the criterion of income from pension and other sources. However, the petitioner's case, though of similar nature, has not been considered. Learned advocate for the petitioner submitted, relying on the said instances and other relevant facts, that the petitioner wants to approach the respondent authority by way of filing representation and for that purpose, the petitioner would not press present petition, at this stage.
Learned advocate for the petitioner also submitted that in the year 2000, a representation was made which has not been replied.
In view of the submissions made by learned advocate for the petitioner, the petition stands disposed of as withdrawn since the petitioner wants to prefer representation before the competent authority. If such representation is made, the respondent authority may consider the same in light of relevant and applicable policy and also in light of the details, which may be mentioned by the petitioner.
With the aforesaid observation and direction, present petition stands disposed of.
