The grievance of the petitioners is that he has moved an application before the second respondent for conversion of Nazul land to freehold in terms of the policy of the State Government. The said application was made in the year 1999, but no decision has been taken as yet.
We have heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel.
Taking into consideration facts and circumstances of the case, we are of the view that a direction be issued upon the District Magistrate to consider the cause of the petitioners and pass appropriate order in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within three months from the date of communication of this order.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. No order as to costs.
