1. Heard Sri H.P. Sahi, learned counsel for the petitioner; Sri Gopal Krishna Pandey, learned counsel appearing for the Nagar Nigam (who may file his appearance by tomorrow) and learned Standing Counsel for the State- respondents.
2. Solitary grievance of the petitioner appears to be that his stay application filed in Appeal No. 26 of 2020 being Case No.26991 of 2020 (M.C. Singh Principal Christian Inter College Jhansi Vs. Ramesh Chandra Rai), filed before respondent no.2-Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jhansi, has remained pending.
3. Without entering into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.2-Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Jhansi , to decide the petitioner's stay application, as expeditiously as possible, strictly in accordance with law, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order.
4. Also, it is expected that the appeal proceedings may be concluded as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months therefrom, if there is no legal impediment provided that the petitioner does not seek any adjournment during that period and cooperates in the proceedings.
