Heard learned counsel for the petitioners; learned AGA for respondents 1, 2 and 3; and perused the record.
The instant petition seeks quashing of the first information report dated 6th November, 2019 registered as Case Crime No.621 of 2019, under Sections 504 and 506 IPC read with Section 4 of The Muslim Women (Protection) of Rights on Marriage) Bill, 2018 at Police Station Civil Lines, District Aligarh.
The allegations made in the impugned first information report disclose commission of cognizable offences therefore the prayer of the petitioners to quash the first information report cannot be accepted.
The petition is dismissed without prejudice to the right of the petitioners to apply for bail/anticipatory bail, as may be advised.
