Heard the counsel for the petitioners.
The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners praying for a writ of mandamus directing the Deputy Director of Consolidation, Ghazipur, i.e., respondent no. 1 to decide restoration application dated 17.10.2020 in Revision / Reference No. 107 of 2014-15 filed under Section 48(1) of the Uttar Pradesh Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953 pending in the court of Deputy Director of Consolidation, Ghazipur.
The Deputy Director of Consolidation, Ghazipur, i.e., respondent no. 1 is directed to decide the aforesaid application, if still pending, within a period of three months from the date a copy of this order is produced before him, in case, there is no legal impediment in deciding the aforesaid application.
It is clarified that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the claim of the petitioners.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
