JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner had availed a loan of ` 45000/- from the respondent Bank under the self employment scheme of the Central Government in the year 2003. According to the petitioner, he has paid back an amount of ` 60,000/- to the Bank. However, he has been issued with a notice demanding payment of an amount of ` 86,272/- within a period of seven days. The amount comprises of ` 48,086 as overdue interest and ` 33,886 as additional interest. According to the petitioner, the said amounts are neither due nor payable by the petitioner.
2. Adv. I Sheela Devi appears for the respondent.
The counsel submitted that if the petitioner approaches the Main Branch of the Bank at Thrikkakkara, appropriate reliefs would be given to the petitioner and the entire dispute would be sorted out. No coercive action would be taken against the petitioner in the mean time.
W.P.(C) NO. 12346 OF 2014 2 In view of the above submissions, this writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to approach the Main Branch at Thrikkakara by submitting a suitable representation with all the details of the payments made by him. If such a representation is submitted, the Bank shall consider the same and shall pass necessary orders thereon, expeditiously.
