This O.P.(R.C.) is filed by the landlord in R.C.P.No.67 of 2013 on the file of the Rent Control Court, Chavakkad. The relief prayed for in the O.P.(R.C.) is to issue a direction to the Rent Control Court, Chavakkad, to dispose of the R.C.P. expeditiously and within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. In the nature of the relief claimed in the O.P.(R.C.), we do not think it is necessary to issue notice to the respondent. The statements made in the O.P.(R.C.) will disclose that the Rent Control Petition is ripe for disposal and at the instance of the tenant, the matter was adjourned on several occasions. In the light of the statements made in the O.P.(R.C.) and taking O.P.(R.C.) 164/2014 2 them as true, we are of the view that a direction can be issued to the Rent Control Court to dispose of the R.C.P. expeditiously.
3. Accordingly, there will be a direction to the Rent Control Court, Chavakkad, to dispose of R.C.P.No.67 of 2013 as expeditiously as possible. The petitioner shall produce certified copy of this judgment before the Rent Control Court on or before 5th January, 2015 and shall serve true copy of the same to the learned counsel appearing for the tenant and produce proof of the same before the Rent Control Court.
The O.P.(R.C.) is disposed of as above.
