Petitioner approached the District Collector for obtaining No Objection Certificate. Petitioner submits that from the office of the District Collector, it was insisted that petitioner shall produce a clearance from the Kerala State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority.
2. For the purpose of issuing No Objection Certificate, environmental clearance is not necessary. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the District Collector to consider and dispose of Ext.P2 application submitted by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The Writ Petition is disposed of as above.
