By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 2 The petitioner, at present, is working as Secondary Grade Teacher and after joining the service, has successfully completed M.Com Degree and prayed for incentive increment and it was rejected by the 2nd respondent vide proceedings in O.Mu.No.851/Aa1/14 dated 28.04.2015 and aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has also filed an appeal before the 1st respondent and it was received and acknowledged on 12.10.2015 and subsequently, it was returned for certain compliance. The appeal was represented on 12.11.2015. The petitioner also submitted one more representation to the Director of Elementary Education and since he is yet to be favoured with any kind of response, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
3 The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the appeal Memorandum submitted by the petitioner to the 1st respondent on 12.10.2015 was returned on 20.10.2015 and though it was represented on 12.11.2015, no orders have been passed and hence, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by filing this writ petition.
4 Heard the submissions of Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents perused the materials placed before it.
5 This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 2nd respondent to act on the representation dated 12.11.2015 submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
6 The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
