Madras High Court|24 March, 2017

JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard Mr.P.Muthusamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.P.Krishnadhas, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent and perused the materials produced.
2. The petitioner has filed this contempt petition against the respondent alleging wilful disobedience of the order, dated 21.08.2014, made in W.P.(MD) No.13824 of 2014.
3. The said writ petition was disposed of directing the District Collector, Sivagangai District, to consider the petitioner's representation, wherein certain serious allegations were made against the Village Panchayat President, namely, the fourth respondent therein. But, no action appears to have been taken on the petitioner's representation. However, now the period of the fourth respondent therein itself is over. Therefore, no further orders are required to be passed in this contempt petition.
4. In the result, the contempt petition is closed leaving it open to the petitioner to initiate other proceedings, which are available to him under law. No costs.
