JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to quash the order of the 2nd respondent dated 20.10.2017 made in Na.Ka.No.484/2014/A 2, by which, the petitioner's request for extension of the licence period for the further period of 3 years was rejected. The petitioner also sought a direction to the respondent to extend the license period for further period of 3 years commencing from 31.10.2017 by accepting 15% over and above the existing licence amount paid by the petitioner by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 08.11.2017.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.J.Gunaseelan Muthiah, the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for R1 and Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned counsel, who takes notice for R2 have submitted that the petitioner was a tenant under the 2nd respondent and subsequent to the expiry of the lease period, the respondents have taken possession of the premises on 01.11.2017 for the purpose of shifting their own office thereto.
3. In view of the above submission, the question of extension of lease with enhanced rent cannot be considered at all. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the belongings of the petitioner, which are available in the premises may be permitted to be taken out. Such request of the petitioner shall be considered by the authority concerned forthwith. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
