JUDGMENT / ORDER

The 2nd respondent is a society registered under the Tranvancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has filed Ext.P4 complaint before the 1st respondent, no action has been taken so far by the 1st respondent. According to the petitioner, he is duly elected to the managing committee of 2nd respondent society. It is further submitted that party respondents, who were the former officer bearers, refused to hand over charge, records and cash to the petitioner and the other members of the newly elected managing committee of the 2nd respondent. The role of the Registrar of societies is limited, in deciding a dispute regarding maintaining the list of office bearers. If the petitioner submits list of office bearers, based on election, the Registrar of Societies has to consider such list for making necessary changes in the list in accordance with bye-law. W.P.(C).No.29075 of 2014 2 Therefore, considering the power of Registrar, in terms of the Act, as observed as above, the Registrar shall take up Ext.P4 after hearing to the petitioner and the party respondent in accordance with law. Needful shall be done within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
