JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Court, by interim order dated 16.02.2012 directed respondents 1 and 2 to give the petitioner water connection, if necessary, through the property of the additional 3rd respondent with police protection within a period of one week.
2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent Water Authority submitted that the said interim order has been complied with on 27.02.2012. Therefore, this Court is of the view that no further direction is necessary in this writ petition.
3. It was submitted by the learned counsel for the additional 3rd respondent that there is a civil dispute between the petitioner and the 3rd respondent; and the judgment of this Court in this writ petition shall not stand W.P.(C) No. 20929 of 2010 ..2..
in the way of the 3rd respondent in contesting the said suit.
Therefore, this writ petition is closed in the light of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the Water Authority.
It is hereby made clear that the closure of this writ petition shall not affect the consideration of the civil suit between the parties in this writ petition on merits.
