JUDGMENT / ORDER

Though the prayer in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to appoint the petitioner on compassionate grounds in the department on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2016, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it is suffice if a direction is issued to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2016 and to pass orders within a time frame.
2.In view of the limited relief sought for, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2016 and to pass orders in accordance with law, if there are no legal impediments, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
