JUDGMENT / ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader [Edn] accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.
2 The petitioner obtained M.Com., and M.Ed., and in terms of G.O.Ms.No.113, School Education Department, dated 14.03.1997, was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher in the Panchayat Union School, Soorpanthangal, Melmalayanur Panchayat Union, Villupuram District vide proceedings of the 3rd respondent dated 10.09.1997. The petitioner got transfers and at present, he is working in Ambattur Municipal Primary School, Korattur, Villivakkam Block.
3 The petitioner would further submit that like him, very many hundreds of Graduate Teachers are working as Secondary Grade Teachers and in this regard, they have submitted representations to place them as Graduate Teachers and taking into consideration of the said plea, the 1st respondent has passed G.O.Ms.No.134, dated 15.06.2007. The petitioner, in this regard, has also submitted a representation dated 01.01.2016 followed by another representation dated 20.10.2016 to the Joint Director of School Education, through proper channel, praying for his appointment as B.T.Assistant / Graduate Teachers from the date of G.O.Ms.No.134, dated 15.06.2007 and since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
4 Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.E.Rani Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
5 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 01.01.2016 and 20.10.2016 respectively, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
