For Petitioner : Mr.A.Ramesh Manikandan For Respondent : Mr.C.Emalias, APP ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.2820 of 2015.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he has been implicated as one of the accused in a case in Crime No.2820 of 2015 by the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 336, 427, 392, 397 and 506(ii) IPC. Though the case was registered in the year 2015, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.2820 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
