Public Prosecutor ORDER The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.120 of 2016 within the time frame fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint with the second respondent police as against one Samsutheen and five others and the same was registered in Crime No.120 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 27.5.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.
3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to investigate the case in Crime No.120 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
