JUDGMENT / ORDER

The Hon’ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy Writ Petition No.37779 of 2014 Dated 08.12.2014 Between:
Mohmad Asha Siddikha …Petitioner And The State of Telangana, rep. by its Prl.Secretary, Medical & Health Department, Telangana Secretariat, Hyderabad and 2 others.
…Respondents Counsel for the petitioner: Mr.Krishna Kishore Kovuri Counsel for respondent No.1: AGP for Medical Health & Family Welfare SC for OU Counsel for respondent Nos.2 & 3: Mr.G.Ravi for M.A.Prabhakar Rao, SC for University The Court made the following:
Order:
The petitioner filed an application for admission into the B.Sc. (Nursing) course for the academic year 2014-15 in respondent No.2- University. In the first round of counselling, her application was not considered on the ground that she has not enclosed the bridge course certificate, which is stated to be necessary for those students, who did not study the subjects of the Bi.P.C. group in Intermediate.
The grievance of the petitioner is that though she possesses the said certificate and is prepared to produce it in the second round of counselling, which is scheduled to be held from today, the respondents are not permitting her to participate therein.
Mr.G.Ravi, learned Counsel representing Mr.A.Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2- Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences submitted that as the petitioner failed to enclose the bridge course certificate to her application, her name was included in the list of ineligible candidates.
In my opinion, if the petitioner is qualified to be considered for admission into the B.Sc., (Nursing) course, interests of justice would be met, if she is permitted to participate at least in the second round of counselling.
Accordingly, respondent No.3 is directed to permit the petitioner to participate in the second round of counselling scheduled to be held from today and consider her for admission into the B.Sc (Nursing) course for the academic year 2014-15 strictly according to the merit, provided she is qualified.
Subject to the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
As a sequel, WPMP.No.47264 of 2014, filed by the petitioner for interim relief, is disposed of as infructuous.
