This writ petition was filed on the ground that the Mandal Revenue Officer, Qutbullapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, was interfering with the petitioner’s possession over his land in Sy.No.120/42 situated at Dommara Pochampally Village, Qutbullapur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District and asking to him to vacate the said land. Though, status-quo orders were granted by this Court for a limited period on 30.11.2004, the same were not extended thereafter and the interlocutory application itself came to be dismissed on that ground on 09.06.2008.
2. Learned Government Pleader for Revenue, states on instructions that the subject land was an assigned land and it was alienated to the petitioner in contravention of the statutory provisions. Be that as it may, once the petitioner is stated to be in possession, the respondents-authorities have to follow the due procedure laid down by law in the event they wish to proceed against him. The status-quo orders stood vacated long ago by efflux of time in the year 2004 itself and it is not clear as to whether any further action was taken by the respondents-authorities in the matter. In the event the petitioner still continues in possession, the respondents-authorities shall follow the due procedure laid down by law, if they wish to proceed against him.
3. With the above observation, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
