By means of this writ petition the petitioner claims that he is tenant in House No. 777, Jawala Maharaj Ka Bagicha, Havet Market Talpura, Police Station- Nawabad, District-Jhansi. The petitioner had applied for electricity connection, but the same has not been granted so far.
Shri Baleshwar Chaturvedi, learned counsel for the Electricity Department submits that there is a dispute going on with regard to earlier bill with the landlord and the same has not been paid and, therefore, electricity is not being given to the petitioner.
It is not disputed that in such cases the authorities can direct for filing of indemnity bond for electricity connection being granted.
That being the case, we direct the Executive Engineer, respondent no. 3 to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of electricity connection in accordance with law, as far as possible, within one month from the date of filing of fresh application along with a certified copy of this order before it.
With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of.
