JUDGMENT / ORDER

HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO W.P.No.25031 of 2014 Date: 01.09.2014 Between:
Mohd. Irfan Ali . Petitioner AND The Government of Telangana, represented By its Principal Secretary, Home (Prison) Department, Hyderabad and another ...Respondents HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO WRIT PETITION No.25031 of 2014 ORDER:
The petitioner herein is a convict bearing No.3266 intern with the Central Prison, Cherlapally, Ranga Reddy District. He has so far completed 17 years of internment. The appeal preferred against the order of conviction has also been dismissed by this Court as long back as on 17.10.2003. However, his wife has been diagnosed to be suffering from cancer and there is no one to take care of her excepting the petitioner.
It is reported that the petitioner has been maintaining good conduct all through his internment. Though this Court has granted extension of parole in the past on two different occasions, but, however, in view of the representation submitted for grant of extension of parole by further period of four months, which is pending before the Hon’ble Minister for Home, Government of Telangana, I consider that the ends of justice would be met adequately if the petitioner is granted extension of parole till 15.09.2014, by which date I hope and trust that the Government would be dealt with his representation and would pass appropriate orders and communicate the same to the petitioner. For any reason, if the Government refuses to grant extension or restricts the extension till 15.09.2014, the petitioner shall surrender before the Superintendent, Central Prison, Cherlapally, Ranga Reddy District, latest by 5.00 P.M. on 15.09.2014.
The Writ Petition stands disposed of with this order after hearing the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, State of Telangana. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this writ petition shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
JUSTICE NOOTY RAMAMOHANA RAO 01-09-2014 Gsn.
