The petitioners are holding a cattle market over their bhumidhari land. However, the police is causing interference without any justifiable reason.
For redressal of their grievance the petitioners have made an application dated 30.08.2018 to the respondent no.2. However, no decision has been taken thereon.
We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel. With their consent the matter is taken on the Board for final disposal at this stage in terms of the Rules of the Court.
Having due regard to the facts of the case we are of the view that the end of justice would be subserved by issuing a direction to the District Magistrate, respondent no.2 to take appropriate decision expeditiously.
It is made clear that we have not adjudicated upon the merit of the case. The respondent no.2 shall pass appropriate order independently in accordance with law.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
