Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Government Advocate.
Under challenge in the instant writ petition is FIR relating to Case Crime No. 283 of 2009, under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 and 506 IPC read with Section 3/4 Dowry Prohibition Act, police station Manik Pur district Pratapgarh.
We have gone through the FIR, which discloses commission of cognizable offence and, as such, the same cannot be quashed.
The writ petition is misconceived and is accordingly dismissed.
However, it is provided that if petitioner nos. 2 and 3 Smt. Reshma Bano and Sajida Bano alias Rani surrender and move application for bail, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the courts below by giving them benefit of Section 437 Cr.P.C.
