Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
Petitioner applied for grant of licence to sell meat of Buffalo as retailer vide application dated 26.12.2018. The petitioner through this writ petition wants that his aforesaid application for licence may be directed to be decided within a time bound period.
Learned Standing Counsel has pointed out that the aforesaid application has already been decided. He has produced a copy of the letter dated 11.12.2019 of the Designation Officer, Abhit Officer, i.e. respondent no.2 addressed to the Chief Standing Counsel, Allahabad, wherein it has been categorically stated that in regard to the application of the petitioner dated 26.12.2018 for the grant of licence, a no objection certificate has been refused by the S.S.P., Mujaffarnagar and in view of the same, the licence cannot be granted to the petitioner.
We, however, do not find that there is any specific order allowing or rejecting the above application of the petitioner.
In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, as it is obligatory to decide the application of the petitioner in accordance with law, we dispose of this petition with a direction to the respondent no.2 to pass appropriate orders on the said application most expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
