Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
The petitioner, by means of the present writ petition, has challenged the suspension order dated 08.01.2021 passed by respondent no.4-Superintendent Engineer, Electricity Distribution, Muzaffar Nagar.
After some argument, learned counsel for the petitioner has confined his prayer that the respondent no.4-Superintendent Engineer, Electricity Distribution, Muzaffar Nagar be directed to conclude the disciplinary proceeding pending against the petitioner, expeditiously within a time bound period.
Considering the fact that the petitioner has been suspended by order dated 08.01.2021 passed by the respondent no.4- Superintendent Engineer, Electricity Distribution, Muzaffar Nagar, this Court finds it appropriate in the facts and circumstances of the case to direct the respondent no.4 to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of this order before him.
It is needless to say that the petitioner shall cooperate in the enquiry. In case, the petitioner does not cooperate in the enquiry, the disciplinary proceeding may be concluded ex-parte.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
