Petitioners are accused Nos.1 and 2 in Crime No.28 of 2014 of the Chelannur Excise Range Office for the offences punishable under Secs.8(1) and (2) of the Kerala Abkari Act for alleged possession and transportation of 30 liters of arrack in a vehicle on 03.06.2014, was arrested on that day and seek bail.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application.
It is submitted that contraband was seized from the possession of the petitioners.
3. Learned counsel requested for bail.
4. Having regard to the relevant circumstances including the materials collected and as investigation is not completed, request of the petitioners for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.
The application is dismissed without prejudice to the petitioners moving again after the investigation has progressed.
