The sole relief pressed for by the learned counsel for the petitioners at the time of hearing of the writ petition is that the representation filed by the petitioners before the District Magistrate, Mirzapur under the provisions of the Works of Licensees Rules 2006 may be decided.
Sri Vivek Kumar Rai appears for respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 4 and learned Standing Counsel appears for respondent No.3. Learned counsel for the respondents state that a decision shall be taken at an early date.
The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the District Magistrate, Mirzapur to decide the representation filed by the petitioners expeditiously and preferably within a period of two months from the date a certified copy of the order is filed by the petitioners after hearing the parties concerned.
It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated on the merits of the case, and it would be for the District Magistrate, Mirzapur to decide the application in accordance with law.
