Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
The information supplied under the Right to Information Act, 2005 by the Office of the Executive Engineer, Rampur Nahar Khand, Rampur on 21.03.2009 reveals that petitioner is the lease holder of Gata No. 942, 943, 944 and 4/2M. area 1.60 acres as per the lease/Anudan given to the petitioner uptil 31.03.2009.
The petitioner wants renewal of the said lease.
The petitioner alleges that ever since 2009 he is continuing in possession and is repeatedly requesting the respondent No.4 to renew the lease but no action has been taken.
In view of the above, we dispose off the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the respondent No.4 Executive Engineer (Irrigation Department), Canal Department, Rampur.
In case any such representation is filed within a period of two weeks from today, the same shall be considered and decided most expeditiously, if possible, within two months.
