Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.
The writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief -
"i. issue a petition, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.1 i.e. Board of Revenue, Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad to decide the Revisino No.174 of 2006-07 (Ram Khelawan and others Vs. Mohan Lal Patel and others), under Section 333 U.P. Zamindari Abolition Act, Mauza-Chak Hafiz@ Pure Shital, Pargana - Sikandra, Tehsil -Phoolpur, District -Allahabad pending in the Court of Board of Revenue, Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad since 18.09.2007 within stipulated period as fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
It has been stated that the revision aforesaid has been pending since the year 2007 and arises out of a suit under Section 229-B of the U.P. Zamindari Abolition and Land Reforms Act.
The writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the Board of Revenue may endeavour of decide the revision of the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of five months from the date a certified copy of this order before it.
