HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.37403 of 2014 ORDER:
The petitioner was granted passport on 27.11.1998 which expired on 26.11.2008. According to the petitioner in the passport against the column of Date of Birth, it was recorded as 05.07.1976. Whereas the actual Date of Birth is 05.07.1979. On 11.11.2014, the petitioner applied for issuance of passport duly correcting the entry of Date of Birth and the application submitted by the petitioner was acknowledged. But so far no information is communicated to the petitioner.
2. Having regard to the same, without expressing any opinion on merits, this writ petition is disposed of directing the Passport authority to pass appropriate orders on the application submitted by the petitioner on 11.11.2014 by duly considering the request of the petitioner for correction of entry of Date of Birth, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
3. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
