1. Heard learned counsel for the parties.
2. While no mandamus may be issued for deciding the petitioner's application for issuance of fire arm license since that application was made in the year 2011 and, at present, fire arm license may be granted in accordance with the Arms Rules, 2016 only.
3. Without entering into the merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction that in case the petitioner files a fresh application for issuance of fire arm license within a period of three weeks from today along with a certified copy of this order, the same may be decided in accordance with law, keeping in mind the timelines provided under the Arms Rules, 2016.
