This Contempt Petition has been filed praying that this Court may be pleased to punish the respondent for the willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, made in Crl.O.P.No.10707 of 2008, dated 24.11.2008.
2. This Court by an order, dated 24.11.2008, in Crl.O.P.No.10707 of 2008, had directed the respondent Police to file a final report, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order.
3. At this stage of the hearing of the Contempt Petition, Mr.M.A.Palanisamy, the learned Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondent had produced a copy of the final report, dated 18.12.2008, before this Court.
4. In view of the above, since, no further orders are necessary in this Contempt Petition, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
