JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2017 for renewing any Local Cable operator allotment in the petitioners area, without all necessary documents as contemplated under Cable TV Regulation Act, 1995.
2.Heard both sides.
3.By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a LCO registered under the first respondent with 250 customer points. The petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 25.07.2017, objecting to renew the licence of another LCO, who had already surrendered the licence. Since no order has been passed by the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.
5.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits within the time stipulated by this Court.
6.Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.07.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the interested parties, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
