M.Karthikeyan vs K.Baiju

The petitioner filed above contempt case from a judgment, which ordered reinstatement, fixation and disbursement of arrears. The petitioner admits that he has now been reinstated and his pay has been fixed. The only question raised by the petitioner is with respect to arrears on the basis of the award passed by the Labour court. It is also specified in the judgment that the same can be settled between the parties. In such circumstances, the Contempt case is closed without prejudice to the rights of the parties to settle the claim.
