JUDGMENT / ORDER

The Writ Petitioner having aggrieved out of the resolution passed by the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board on 1.9.2003 preferred this Writ Petition on various grounds. Wakf Board passed a resolution resolving to hold an election as per the scheme and for that purpose Superintendent of Wakfs, Thanjavur was appointed as Returning Officer to proceed with the process of conducting election for the Board.
2. The resolution was challenged in the year 2003 and the subject matter is relating to the conduct of elections and after a lapse of more than 14 years, the grounds raised in this writ petition cannot be considered and further, Mr.A.S. Kaizer, learned counsel appearing for the first respondent learned Senior Counsel Mr.M.K.Kabir, for R2 & R3, as well the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner admitted that pursuant to the interim directions granted by this Court, elections were conducted and therefore the grounds raised in this Writ Petition does not survive any more and accordingly no further consideration is required in this writ petition. Thus this writ petition stands dismissed, however, there shall be no order as to costs.
