JUDGMENT / ORDER

The writ petitioner's father was allotted the subject house on rental basis. The allotment was made way back in January 2000. The writ petitioner's father passed away on 16.10.2016. It appears that a sum of Rs.50,100/- (Rupees Fifty thousand and One hundred only) was in arrears, the writ petitioner has shown his bonafide by remitting a sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand only) so far. The writ petitioner undertakes to clear the balance amount within a period of eight weeks in two instalments. The writ petitioner has given representation dated 02.08.2017 for allotting the said house in his favour in the place of his father.
2. The respondent herein is directed to consider the said representation on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate order within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
