This writ petition is filed seeking police protection for assistance to put up a godown for LPG cylinders. The petitioner has obtained licences, going by the writ petition. Now the private respondents have produced materials to show that the municipal authorities have initiated action for revoking the licence granted by them. Therefore, this is not a case to be now considered for grant of police protection. Under such circumstances, it is ordered that police will ensure that law and order is maintained and if and when the petitioner shows all necessary licences to the satisfaction of the competent authorities, the police will ensure that any request for protection is appropriately addressed, if there is situation warranting grant of such aid. Writ petition is ordered accordingly.
