The issue raised in the instant writ petition is covered in favour of the petitioners by the decision of a learned single Judge of this Court in W.P.(C)No.2577 of 2013 and connected cases which were disposed of by judgment delivered on 5.6.2014. This writ petition was filed on 3.6.2014, two days before W.P.(C)No.2577 of 2013 and connected cases were disposed of. In such circumstances, I am of the opinion that notwithstanding the observation in paragraph 8 of the judgment in W.P.(C)No.2577 of 2013 and connected cases that the benefit of the judgment need be given only to the petitioners in the batch of writ petitions, I am of the opinion that the petitioners herein who are similarly placed should be extended the benefits flowing from the judgment in W.P.(C) No.2577 of 2013 and connected cases.
I accordingly dispose of this writ petition with a direction that the petitioners herein will also be entitled to the benefit of the judgment delivered on 5.6.2014 in W.P.(C)No.2577 of 2013 and connected cases. A copy of the judgment in W.P.(C)No.2577 of 2013 and connected cases shall be appended to this judgment.
