Heard Shri Gaurav Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State- respondents.
By means of this writ petition the petitioner has come to this Court for providing security as he perceives threat on his life.
An attempt was made upon the petitioner pursuant to which the petitioner filed an F.I.R. and a Case Crime No. 1042 of 2017 was registered under Section 307 I.P.C. in which a final report has been filed, but the same has not been accepted by the Magistrate and further direction has been issued for investigation.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the threat perception is grave and severe and in case no security is provided, the petitioner's life will be in danger.
It is to be noted that for private security a committee is constituted known as "District Level Committee" consisting of S.S.P., District Magistrate and one other authority.
The writ petition is disposed of with the observation that in case the petitioner files an appropriate application before the said committee annexing all the relevant documents required, the committee shall consider the application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.
