This petition alleges disobedience of an interim order passed on 29 September 2016, in terms of which the parties were directed to maintain status quo with regard to their possession over the land in dispute. Quite apart from the fact that this interim order was to operate till the next date of listing only and there is no material to establish that this order was extended as and when listed thereafter, the Court notes that the sole allegation made is that the opposite parties have destroyed the standing crops of the applicant. This clearly cannot amount to a violation of the status quo which was restricted in its application to possession only.
The petition is misconceived and is dismissed.
