JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for respondents 1 and 2, apart from perusing the record. Since the issue lies in a narrow compass, this Court proposes to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage itself. 2. Briefly stated, the petitioner, working as HSA (English) in the 3rd respondent's school, submitted an application to the 3rd respondent Manager to consider her case to be appointed as Higher Secondary School Teacher (English) under 25% quota. The grievance of the petitioner is that, overlooking the petitioner's legitimate claim, the 3rd respondent took steps to appoint candidates from the open market. Under those circumstances, the petitioner is said to have made a representation in Ext.P3 to respondents 1 and 2. Complaining of its non disposal, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent has made an attempt to address the issue on merits. The learned W.P.(C) No.26145/2014 -2-
Government Pleader, on his part, has submitted that the 2nd respondent is the competent authority to take a decision on Ext.P3 representation said to have been submitted by the petitioner. He has also stated that, at this juncture, the issue does not call for any adjudication on merits, inasmuch as the 2nd respondent has been actively seized of the issue.
In the facts and circumstances, having regard to the respective submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader and the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider Ext.P3 representation of the petitioner in accordance with law, after providing due opportunity of being heard in person to the petitioner and also the 3rd respondent, and pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. No order as to costs.
