ORDER:
This writ petition is filed for the following substantive relief:
“…to issue a writ, order or direction, one more particularly in the nature of Mandamus declaring the impugned action of the 2nd respondent in proposing physical inspection of the petitioner colleges for verifying existing faculty, infrastructure etc. vide impugned circular dt. 22.10.2014 as arbitrary and illegal, offending Article 14 of the Constitution of India and issue a consequential direction to the 2nd respondent not to conduct such comprehensive inspections without concluding the process undertaken in pursuance of inspections conducted in May/June 2014 and August 2014 and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit, just and proper in the circumstances of the case.”
At the hearing, Mr. S. Sriram, learned counsel representing Mr. V. Ashok Ram, learned counsel for the petitioner, requested for permission of the Court to withdraw the writ petition.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as withdrawn.
As a sequel to the dismissal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.41257 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
