JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that the petitioners who are regular permit holders as per Exts P1 and P2, in deviation of extant practice, are prohibited to enter into the Thrissur Municipal Bus Stand. Ext.P3 is a representation filed on that count. The petitioners' contention is that there is no order as such passed by any of authorities and the petitioners have been merely prohibited from entering into Thrissur Municipal Bus Stand. The learned Government Pleader, on oral instruction from the RTA, submits that such a measure was implemented only to avoid traffic congestion within the town. If the petitioners are permitted to enter into the Thrissur Municipal Bus Stand, going by the Traffic Regulations, the petitioners would WPC.No.30571/2014 : 2 : have to make a complete circle on the “Swaraj Round”, thus adding to the traffic congestion inside the town. It is also submitted that the alternate road available is too narrow, to permit stage carriages to be plied through that. In any event, since no written orders are passed, it is only proper that the RTA consider the representations and decide upon the same and pass written orders to that end.
Writ petition is disposed of.
