JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioners are residents of the first respondent Panchayath, who have preferred applications for getting housing loan under the E.M.S. Housing Project. The case of the petitioners is that, it was with the bonafide impression that they would get the due amount, by virtue of their credentials and eligibility, they removed their old huts and started construction of the new houses. But for the disbursement of a small portion of the amount, the balance amount is not disbursed so far. Hence the writ petition.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that though the petitioners have approached the second respondent projecting their grievance by filing Ext. P4 representation as early as on 09.12.2013, the same is still to be acted upon. The only relief now pressed before this Court is to cause Ext. P4 to be considered within a reasonable time.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent Panchayath as well.
W.P.(C) No. 7233 of 2014 : 2 :
3. After hearing both the sides, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to conduct a spot inspection with notice to the petitioners and to pass appropriate orders on Ext. P4 in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
Petitioners shall produce a copy of this judgment along with copy of the writ petition before the second respondent for further steps.
