JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mr.T.V.Krishnamachari, learned Senior Central Government Panel Counsel takes notice for the respondents and by consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider his application dated 11.10.2016 and issue NOC for the new construction of his own home in the vacant land mentioned in the application.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's application dated 11.10.2016, the 2nd respondent has not considered the same and issued NOC so far.
4. Mr.T.V.Krishnamachari, learned Senior Central Government Panel Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass orders in accordance with law, within eight weeks' time.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 11.10.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
