This writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief:
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Khadi Evam Gramodyog Board, Lucknow to consider and decide the applications of the petitioner dated 4.11.2019 and 3.12.2019 (Annexure nos.13 and 16 to the writ petition) in the light of the recommendation dated 12.12.2019 made by the District Gramodyog Officer, Meerut (Annexure No.18 to the writ petition), within the reasonable period to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.
(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents not to harass the petitioner for depositing the amount in question, till the disposal of the applications dated 4.11.2019 and 3.12.2019 (Annexure nos.12 and 16 to the writ petiion) which have been moved by the petitioner under one time settlement scheme."
Learned counsel for the petitioners after arguing the matter at length has confined his prayer to the extent that the applications of the petitioner dated 4.11.2019 and 3.12.2019 (Annexure nos. 12 and 16 respectively to the writ petition) may be directed to be decided by the authority concerned within a stipulated period of time.
Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition is finally disposed of with a direction to the Respondent No.6, Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Khadi Evam Gramodyog Board, Lucknow to consider and decide the aforementioned applications dated 4.11.2019 and 3.12.2019 (Annexure nos. 12 and 16 respectively to the writ petition) in accordance with law after examining the entire matter by a speaking and reasoned order preferably within six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
